3 Day Advanced Training Course For Fault Finding, Diagnostics and Micro soldering

In this 3 day training course, We specialise in teaching you how to Fault Find, Diagnose Logic Boards and Micro Solder, Covering surface mounted components found on iPhones, iPads, Samsungs and many other devices

The course is a one-2-one or one-2-two placement, so you will have the undivided attention of one of our engineers for the day.

The price is per person (Maximum 2)

You will learn about:

Day 1

How to use a Soldering Iron
• Temperature Controls (knowing the correct temperatures for different types of logic boards and components)
• Learning how to use Solder, Solder Paste and Flux
• Cleaning and Maintaining your Soldering Iron Tips

How to use a Hot Air Rework Gun
• Temperature Controls (Learning the correct temperatures and air flow for different types of logic boards and components)

Day 2

Expert Fault finding on logic boards
• Checking for damaged Components
• Injecting voltage into a dead device
• Using a thermal camera
• Using dc power supply
• Testing Components (learning the resistance, value and what it does)

Day 3

Removing / Replacing Charging Ports
In this 4 stage process you will learn how to;
• Remove the damaged port
• Prepare the logic board (Cleaning)
• Fitting the new charging port
• Repair damaged tracks to allow a data connection and charging to work

Removing / Replacing Surface Mounted Components
In this 4 stage process you will learn how to;
• Pre-heat the logic board
• Remove the damaged components
• Prepare the logic board for new components (Cleaning)
• Fitting / Installation of the new components

Removing Components (Port's, IC's, Capacitor's, Resistor's, Diode's, Coil's, etc) and putting them back on

Schedule

Morning Course: 9.30am until 12.30pm

Lunch: 12.30pm to 1pm

Afternoon Course: 1pm until 3pm

Lunch and Refreshments are provided.

 You will receive a certificate on completion of the course
